GEA Küba optimises its Air Cooler for refrigerated counters. 

Sometimes smaller just is bigger. This is the case with the new revised version of the Küba
gastro FM Air Cooler. Conceived specifically for under-counter beverage cooling, its space-saving compact design makes this Küba Green Line entry-level model a real hit. Thanks to the mounting plate that comes supplied, the FMA version of the Küba gastro, with its side-mounted air exhaust, can be quickly and easily installed directly under the worktop, even in cooling counters where access is tricky.

Equipped with patented air guide, the gastro FMA ensures optimum air guidance and ensures faster product cooling due to its enhanced air throw and improved air circulation. The result is a permanent reduction in energy costs.

The Küba gastro FM comes in two model versions, each available in five sizes. Alongside the FMA version, Küba supplies the Air Cooler in an FMOA version, with an air exhaust on top as well. The technical specifications of both model ranges are identical.

The gastro FM is designed for a cooling range of -25°C to +20°C and can be equipped with one or two low-noise fans, depending on the level of performance required. On dual operation the level of background noise is 64 db(A). The IP 54 quick connectors for the fans are to DIN EN 60529 standard and protrude from the Air Cooler. This makes handling of the unit easier and means that no additional wiring is required.

The housing of the gastro FM Air Cooler is made of smooth aluminium, which provides reliable protection against even slight accumulation of dirt. The side parts can be removed and washed in a dishwasher. This makes them easier to maintain, allows quick access to the heat exchanger, and ensures good levels of hygiene.

The food-safe powder coating ensures optimum protection against corrosion. A folding drip tray is available as an option on the gastro FM range. This makes cleaning easy and is easy to install when the unit is serviced. Alternatively, the gastro FM can be supplied with a drip tray fitted underneath. The Air Cooler can only be retrofitted with TAS flexible electrical defrosting, recommended for extreme applications, if the drip tray is fitted.
